The things people ask before they try it.
Accurate enough to be useful, and honest about the rest. Ragus estimates portions from your description, which is exactly what a dietitian does when you describe a meal — and considerably better than the alternative, which for most people is not logging at all.
Every entry shows what was assumed, so you can see when it guessed a medium portion and you had a large one. When it isn't confident, it says so rather than presenting a made-up number as fact.
No. You can if you want — say “180 grams of rice” and it uses that. But the whole design assumes you won't. “A bowl of rice” is a perfectly good input.
This is the part Ragus is genuinely better at. There's no fixed database to be missing from, so waakye, goat meat, gari, jollof, a bottle of malt and whatever you actually eat all work the same way as a cheese sandwich.
The first person to log an unusual item pays for the lookup. Everyone after that gets it instantly, because the answer is remembered.
Yes. Entries can be deleted, and you can log the corrected version. If a portion was wrong, saying so is usually faster than editing numbers by hand.
Yes, in the same sentence as the food. “A chicken wrap and then a 5k run” records both, and the run gives part of the day back. Exercise counts against your total rather than sitting in a separate screen you never open.
Tell it when. “Yesterday around 7pm I had a burger” files it under yesterday evening, not now. Your day totals stay correct.
No. Speech is turned into text on your phone — the audio never leaves the device. Only the resulting text is sent, and only so it can be turned into food and numbers.
It's stored so the app can show you your own history, and that's it. It isn't sold, and it isn't used to advertise to you.
You can delete your account from inside the app. That removes your profile, your logs and your sign-in — properly, not just hidden. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Not yet. Working out what you said needs a connection. Your history is there whenever you're back online.
